…And we’re back.  Sorry again for the long delay, exams were quite hectic for me this semester.  These three pictures are of my dad’s saltwater reef aquarium.  He puts a lot of time and effort into making it look good, and he’s doing a great job.  These shots were taken with a Canon Rebel XSi that my cousin is graciously letting me borrow for the summer to play around with and take on my trip.

Anyway, the first picture is the front of the tank.  The corals are nice and brightly colored and the deep blue clam in the foreground is a great addition.  You can also see the last of the original three clown fish that populated the tank.  Our theory is that she killed the other ones off.  The middle picture is from the back of the tank.  I’m not entirely sure what kind of fish this is.  Down in the lower left corner is a brain coral that is really neat.  It has a bunch of tiny tentacles that come out when it feeds, but you can’t see them here.  The third picture is just me messing around with the camera, but I liked the way it turned out.  The effect is from setting the shutter speed to one second and zooming out while the shutter is open.  I tried a bunch of these and this is the one where I was able to keep the camera steadiest during the process.  Not an easy task without a tripod!

Updates should be much more regular in the coming weeks, especially as I play around with this new camera 🙂

There are dozens of digital SLR cameras on the market today; however, there are few clear or consistent guides to which ones are the best quality and most reliable. Well, Which Digital SLR Camera? has personally tested and evaluated these digital SLR cameras so to give you an easy and simple recommendation of which ones you should choose and which ones you should avoid.
